High Desert Time Trial

I did a 22:47 by my PowerTap. Average 285W, 23.6mph. Cole started 30 seconds ahead of me and I caught him towards the top of the climb… which was pretty awesome.

I’m really excited to see the results. EDIT: I got 8th at +1:43.

I made an elevation profile from the course and compared it to the elevation profile they provided. They’re a little different.

Jaime pointed out that they redid some of the roads out there, so maybe we’re going around the bumps see at mile 35? I guess we’ll see…

Sleepy time. The road race is going to be epic, and I am very excited.

High Desert Criterium

Just a quick post. Cole and I attacked at the beginning and didn’t get any real gaps. The course was technical. The best move for me was solo with about 5 seconds, but it didn’t last. I didn’t recover well and sat towards the back, but by the time I finally started moving up, the 11.3 mi race was almost over and I was pretty cooked. Cole was also cooked. I finished towards the back of the field, avoiding the crash at the finish.

On the attack early

Time to upload the PowerTap data and lounge around. My TT start time is 3:44:00. Cole is 30 seconds ahead of me. My legs feel pretty good after 26 minutes of 25.5mph. Power data laterz.
